Trainer Bios

Our team of certified personal trainers create goal-based programs focusing on your needs to keep your workouts systematic so you are injury free. We want our clients to leave the J feeling fueled with motivation and satisfaction. Most importantly, we also want to make sure that our clients gain the knowledge and the confidence to continue their workouts on their own to live a healthy and balanced life.

Our Personal Training Packages include, but are not limited to:

Meet our Trainers 


Matt Alvin, Fitness Facilities Manager

Matt Alvin has been in the fitness industry for more than 30 years and has been working in the JCCNV Sports, Fitness and Aquatics department since 1996. He is a certified Personal Trainer through AFPA, certified Kickboxing/Boxing Coach, and holds a 3rd Degree Blackbelt from the American Karate/Kickboxing Institute. What Matt most enjoys about working at the JCCNV are the friendly members and being able to share his love of fitness.  Matt specializes in fitness boxing training, kickboxing, strength and conditioning and injury rehabilitation. His training philosophy is “fitness is forever.”

Jane Hansen, Personal Trainer

Jane Hansen has enjoyed exercise and fitness through years of jogging and being a group instructor teaching Jazzercise classes. Jane has been with the JCCNV since 1992 as a certified Jazzercise Instructor and Personal Trainer, and she recently completed her degree in Exercise Science from George Mason University. What Jane enjoys most about working at the JCCNV is getting to know the members and learning more about the Jewish heritage and traditions.  Jane specializes in core training, weight training, adults/senior fitness and working with clients with osteopenia.

Lynne Maloney, Personal Trainer

Lynne Maloney has been a fitness professional for over ten years and has been an avid “fitness fan” since high school. She’s a certified Jazzercise Instructor and ACE certified Personal Trainer who likes to make exercise fun, whether working with clients one on one or in small groups.  The satisfaction of helping people reach and maintain their fitness goals is her greatest reward.  In fact, she recently left a long and fruitful career in the newspaper industry to focus on a full-time career in fitness. She enjoys the friendly and genuine atmosphere of the JCCNV.  “It’s a happy and healthy place to be!”

Cindy Rosen, Personal Trainer

Cindy has been a member of the J community for several years, but recently joined our Personal Training staff.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Penn State University and was in the United States Marine Corps for 24 years before becoming a certified Personal Trainer through the National Personal Training Institute.  She has taught aerobics classes as well as swimming lessons, and has a wide range of fitness knowledge and certifications including kettle bells, TRX and much more making her a very well-rounded trainer. Cindy enjoys working with people and helping them reach their personal fitness goals. She loves it when her clients say “I never thought I could do this but now I can!”

Viktoriia Pasichnyk, Personal Trainer

She is a Certified Personal Trainer, professional ballroom dancer. Viktoriia participated in competitive ballroom dance and won many international competitions, including Washington Dance-O-Rama 2016. This love of dance influences Viktoria’s current training techniques. “I love being a personal trainer because it feels great to help people feel better and it’s also healthy and fun. I like to motivate and inspire my clients. I love seeing them walk out of the session feeling amazing and strong. Sometimes I can’t believe how lucky I am to play such a big role in people’s lives.”
