Her northwest Washington, D.C. estate endowed the country with the most comprehensive collection of Russian imperial art outside of Russia, a distinguished 18th-century French decorative art collection, and twenty-five acres of serene landscaped gardens and natural woodlands for all to enjoy... “ – Hillwood Website

We will see an introductory movie and enjoy a guided mansion tour. Walk the beautiful grounds on your own, if desired, and try to save time to view the current
special exhibit: Spectacular Gems and Jewelry from the Merriweather Post Collection. You will discover exquisite examples of historic gems and the most beautiful jewelry
of the twentieth century. Nearly sixty pieces that once belonged to Marjorie Merriweather Post, one of the greatest jewelry collectors of the twentieth century, will tell the story behind some of the remarkable stones and the jewelry into which they were transformed. You may bring a bagged lunch or purchase food at their
lovely café.

Fee: $34/ $28 J member (includes bus transportation, narrated tour of mansion,
and special exhibit viewing). Lunch is a separate charge, on your own, optional.
