German society has undergone a dramatic transformation since the end of the World War II – from being silent about the Holocaust to facing it head on. This fascinating documentary explores a changing society, from one generation to the next. Through personal stories and conversations between Jewish and non-Jewish Germans, and Israelis that now flock to cultural centers such as Berlin, a nuanced story of reconciliation emerges.

Special Panel: Anne C. Schenderlein, Research Fellow, German Historical Institute, Dr. Ulrike Schneider, assistant professor of German-Jewish Literature at the University of Potsdam, and Mark Roth, NVJFF Committee Member

Underwritten in part by the Embassy of Germany in Washington D.C.
