Tips on Nutrition … and Tastes of Shakshuka!
Presented by Kathryn Strong, M.S., R.D. Virginia Cooperative Extension, Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences; Mike Perel, Master Food Volunteer, Virginia Cooperative Extension
Food is the most delicious medicine you can take to keep your body healthy. Katie will explain how eating a range of tasty foods, including fruits and veggies, is a very effective way to prevent diabetes and other health issues as we age. As a special treat, Katie and Mike will show us how to make a healthy and delicious Middle Eastern breakfast dish called shakshuka. Made mainly of eggs and tomatoes, shakshuka is an easy dish to make and everyone will get to taste and enjoy. Don't miss out on this very informative and "delicious" program!
