Melissa grew up in Northern New Jersey and attended the University of Michigan, where she received a bachelor’s degree in economics. In 2001, after obtaining her MBA from University of California at Berkeley, she moved to the D.C. area where she worked in the housing finance industry for many years. For the last few years, she and her family have lived in McLean, where their two sons attend elementary school. When she’s not completing Lego® projects or doing kitchen science experiments, Melissa likes to exercise, cook, volunteer at school, try new restaurants, and meet friends for coffee. She is excited to be a ambassador because she enjoys meeting new people and is hoping to strengthen connections within the local Jewish community.
