What is BBYO?

BBYO is the world’s leading pluralistic Jewish youth movement. BBYO offers year-round programming for teens all around the world from the US to Bulgaria, Canada to Israel and beyond. BBYO’s mission is to provide more teens with more meaningful Jewish experiences. For more than 80 years, BBYO has provided exceptional identity enrichment and leadership development experiences for hundreds of thousands of Jewish teens.

In Northern Virginia, BBYO has 6 chapters serving Fairfax County and Loudoun County. All 9th-12th graders are eligible to join and 8th graders can join in January. Contact us for more information about our chapters and programs at nova@bbyo.org.

BBYO is currently building its Teen Connection offerings for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. If you are interested in events for your tween, please contact us to be placed on our mailing list.

If you are interested in volunteering as an advisor for a BBYO chapter please contact Seth Gordon-Lipkin, the NoVA Council Director, at sgordonlipkin@bbyo.org. Must be 21 or older to apply.

Upcoming BBYO Events – Contact our office for more details! (703) 537-3087.

  • October 28–30 – Northern Region East New Member Weekend

How Do You Get Involved?

First Step:

Join b-linked.org, the premier online network for all Jewish teens everywhere. Making a b-linked.org account is simple, fast and free. As soon as you create a profile, BBYO will mail you a brochure and personally invite you to upcoming events! Use b-linked.org to find upcoming local events, speak your mind about your favorite topics on message boards and blogs, upload photos and explore social, travel, community service and leadership opportunities.

Second Step:

Contact Seth so he can help answer your questions about programs in our area, ways to become a leader in the organization and BBYO summer programs, including BBYO trips to Israel!
