Philosophy: Sound fundamentals — for your child to execute at a high level, they must first master the basics: footwork, ball handling, shooting form, etc. We focus on the fundamentals of the game in a competitive and positive environment — ball handling, dribble moves, shooting, finishing moves, passing, defense, speed and agility, etc. During a game, we want your child to be able to effectively use the drills and skills learned. We want to improve your child’s current skill set and turn weaknesses into strengths so he/she has the confidence to be the player he/she wants to be.
Owner and Founder of iwantskills.com Paul Easton, originally from Scotland, moved to the US in 2005. He was a varsity assistant coach with Bishop O’Connell High School for six seasons. Working with his mentor, Joe Wotten, Coach Paul helped lead O’Connell High School to the Virginia State Independent Schools Championship in 2005 and 2009. He then became head coach of Saint James School, MD for two seasons and led them to an IPSL Championship in his first season and a narrow defeat in the MAC championship game.
Coach Paul has a deep passion for the game and a never-ending desire to learn more. His ultimate satisfaction is making a difference in the lives of kids not only by providing exceptional basketball instruction based on years of experience, but also by serving as a positive influence, a mentor, and a leader.
“I want to pass on my knowledge of the game to my players; I want to teach them how to really think the game and its concepts.” — Coach Paul
