Let’s PlayFor children ages 6-8
Sundays
Join us for an hour of fun and exploration! Children learn social skills through active play in a safe and healthy environment. This class is designed for children with ADD/ADHD, high functioning autism, learning disabilities, Asperger’s syndrome and developmental delay. Children must be able to participate verbally in group activities. A welcome interview for new participants must be scheduled before class starts.

Friends
For children ages 9-12
Sundays
A fun class designed to help children explore and understand their emotions through recreational play. Discussion topics include dealing with anger, understanding feelings, the power of positive thinking and handling stress. This class is designed for children with ADD/ADHD, high-functioning autism spectrum, learning disabilities, Asperger’s syndrome, and developmental delays. Children must be able to participate verbally in group activities. A welcome interview for new participants must be scheduled before class starts.

Kids’ Night Out
Why should mom and dad have all the fun? On Saturday evenings, children enjoy a night of swimming, movies, games, sports, and more—all here at the JCCNV! The supervised activities give parents a chance to enjoy an evening out—or stay right here at the JCCNV! Therapeutic Exercise and Adapted Physical Fitness
This is an 8-week program which is the collaboration between the JCCNV and Life Changing Fitness, LLC (LCF). LCF is a children’s fitness center focusing on therapeutic exercise, physical therapy, physical education, social skills, adaptive physical education, athletic development, weight management, and improving self-esteem and self-confidence. The mission of this program is to foster an environment for learning, developing social and physical skills, and enhancing creativity through personalized training programs, one-on-one or group sessions with qualified trainers, and therapeutic exercises. This program will service children of all developmental and physical levels with the use of innovative equipment, sports therapy, and medically designed programs. Join us in this great movement program that will incorporate dance, music, and a whole lot of fun! This program is for adults of ANY ability. You will have the freedom to move to your own beat and it will maximize individuals’ strengths. It will be run by our Dance Director, Alicia Ronquillo. Pay per class or per session. Finding Your Way with Clay!
March 28, 2012 - May 23, 2012
Wednesdays, 1:30pm-3:00pm
This new, exciting clay program will explore the wonders of working in clay. Participants will learn the fun art form by making their own pottery through a variety of projects such as sculpture, bowls, vases, mugs and more. Participants will also learn to paint their work with colorful glazes. All materials are lead free, food safe, and kiln fired for permanence and durability. Ceramic artist, Susan Fox Hirschmann, will share the joys of working in clay in her studio, where creative freedom is encouraged. Adults with any special ability are welcome to participate! Participants will find the special magic in working with clay!

Harry Pottering
Day: Thursdays from April 19 through June 7
Time: TBD (after-school)
Learn to make all things wizardry in clay! The first 6 classes will be creative sessions working in wet clay, and the last 2 classes will be glazing. Let your imagination come to life as you fashion your very own Harry Potter figures and scenes with your own 2 hands! This is an inclusive program.
