Before-School Care: AM BASE

Start the day off right! Beginning at 7:30am each morning your child can catch up on his/her reading, hang with friends, play games, and prepare for the school day. The AM BASE program is available to students in select schools.  Please contact us to see if your child’s school is on the transportation list. Transportation to area schools is either done through Fairfax County Public School transportation, Gesher Jewish Day School busing, the J’s buses, or a contracted transportation company.

After-School Care: PM BASE

Make the most of every afternoon! The PM BASE program runs from the time the school dismisses until 6pm daily. Upon arrival from school, your child will be served a snack, comprised of two nutritious food groups, and will be able to choose from the following activities:
• A quiet homework room with staff on hand to assist
• Science, arts and crafts, and cooking projects
• Free creative play in either the Junior (grades K–2), Senior (grades 3–5), or Home (grades 6-8) BASE rooms stocked with age-appropriate toys, games, and books
• Organized sports and team-building activities in our full-sized gymnasium and outside on the playground
• Board games and Foosball in our game room
• Free swim twice a week in the J’s 25-meter, heated indoor pool

BASE for 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders!

This program is specifically designed for our older students who require less supervision. Students in this program have the freedom to spend their afternoons in an area designated just for them. Staff will be in place to give one-on-one attention to these students as they unwind, play games, learn from each other, and focus on their school work.

Transportation is Available!

Students who attend Mantua Elementary School, Wakefield Forest Elementary School, and Gesher Jewish Day School can ride their designated school bus to the J. Contact your child’s school to arrange transportation.
