JCCNV Personal Training

The focus of the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics (SFA) Department can be seen in the array of interactive fitness and physical educational programs offered for people of all ages (preschool-age to adult). The department creates opportunities for individuals to get healthy and fit, meet and make new friends, and encourage and support individuals to begin and/or continue their fitness journeys. The SFA department offers a wide-variety of health and wellness opportunities including fitness programs and personal training packages.

Personal Training at the JCCNV

Think about this: 70% of Americans begin an exercise program and in less than 3 months, 80% of them quit. More importantly, 80% of all health club memberships are never used. Interestingly, 85% of individuals who have a personal trainer maintain their regimen.
 
The JCCNV Personal Training program will provide you with the motivation and direction you need to achieve your health and fitness goals! After an initial evaluation to establish your baseline health and fitness level, your program will be designed to meet your individual needs — whether that’s weight loss, recovering from an injury or surgery, cardiovascular fitness, strength training, or just general health and fitness.

Your personal trainer:

  • designs a workout program specifically for you, regardless of experience
  • demonstrates movements and ensures proper form
  • answers your questions and monitors progress
  • adjusts your workout as your needs change and your abilities grow
  • provides workout variety to help alleviate boredom, avoid plateaus, and prevent injury

The JCCNV Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Department offers a variety of personal training packages to meet your needs. From TRX training and small group sessions, to packages for beginner exercises or rehabilitation from an injury — choose the package and the trainer that’s right for you!

Personal Trainer Spotlight:

Jane Hansen

Jane Hansen has enjoyed exercise and fitness through years of jogging and being a group instructor teaching Jazzercise classes. Jane has been with the JCCNV since 1992 as a certified Jazzercise Instructor and Personal Trainer, and she recently completed her degree in Exercise Science from George Mason University. What Jane enjoys most about working at the JCCNV is getting to know the members and learning more about the Jewish heritage and traditions. When Jane is not at the JCCNV, she loves yard and garden work, catching up with her four children, and obedience training her two Pomeranians. Jane specializes in core training, weight training, adults/senior fitness and working with clients with osteopenia.
