Did you always want to learn to speak Ivrit (Hebrew), but never had the chance, or made the time? Join Yael at the JCCNV Hebrew Cafe. You’ll learn conversational Hebrew in a fun and interactive way!

Israel Street Festival
Sunday, June 3, noon–5pm

Fairfax Corner, 11900 Palace Way, Fairfax (on MonumentDr. between Wegmans and the Government Center)

This year, the JCCs of Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia will coordinate community celebrations in honor of Israel@64. Events and activities will run throughout the day. Join the community to celebrate the sights, sounds and flavors of Israel!

Highlights: hands-on activities, food, entertainment, Israeli dancing, Israeli shuk, exhibits and more

 Free admission and free parking.

Israeli Dance—Ongoing
Tuesdays, 8:15pm–9:30pm

Join Israeli dance teacher Ethan Halpern as he leads the group in a series of lively Israeli dances. You don’t need to be an expert—just be ready to join the group and have fun. Ethan is director of Israeli dance at the University of Maryland and teaches dance classes throughout the Greater Washington area. This is a drop-in program. Preregistration is not required.

Cost: $6M/ $7C/ $5 students
