Get to Know a New Israeli Non-Profit Organization Each Month!
Each month, we will feature a cool and not-so-familiar Israeli nongovernmental organization (NGO) so you can get to know some of the amazing things Israelis do that you might not have heard about! This month, get to know: The Lone Soldier Center in memory of Michael Levin, is a grass-roots Israeli non-profit founded by former lone soldiers to support the more than 6,000 lone soldiers serving in the IDF today. Michael Levin was an American-born lone soldier who fell fighting in the Second Lebanon War.

Are you tired of book, wine, and poetry clubs? Do you want to bring some spice into your home? Let’s have a fun evening together cooking “shakshuka,” an Israeli delicacy, while talking and learning about Israel!
A few details:
- The gatherings are designed for groups of 12–18 people. Hosts extend the invitations to their friends, family, co-workers, etc.
- The evening is for adults of all ages

Join Na’ama each week for conversational Hebrew. You will learn and practice Hebrew in a fun and interactive way while learning more about Israel! No previous knowledge of Hebrew required.
Fee: Free (we ask that you try to attend regularly)

This drop-in cultural dance program incorporates Jewish and Israeli culture through choreographed dances set to modern music by Israeli artists. The dances students learn are recognized in most programs internationally. No experience is required. Ethan Halpern has been offering this popular Israeli Dance program for 20 years at the J. Preregistration not required. See you on the dance floor!
