Musical Program (Musicals of the New Millennium) and Chanukah Celebration
Presented by: Steven Friedman, internationally recognized Broadway musical historian
Musical theatre has changed. To many it has become a tourist attraction, not the art form it once was. To be in a musical, you needed to be a triple threat — a singer who could act and dance. Costs to produce new material were astronomical. As a result, the new musicals took on a different feel and changed the way the theatre-going public saw them. Steve will join us to provide more insight into this era along with singing some wonderful songs from this time. Stay after the program and enjoy Chanukah treats!
Fee: $7 for all participants
