The immigrant generation is now gone and we can only regret all those unasked questions. But they left behind a trail and excellent resources that make it possible to pass along something better than vague knowledge (such as “grandpa came from some place in Russia.”). Our presenters will discuss books from the library’s collection that would be particularly valuable in performing Jewish family history research. In addition, Mr. Rems will discuss the substantial family history he discovered after beginning with virtually no knowledge of his extended family. Feel free to visit him in the Virginia Room at the Fairfax Regional Library to explore your own family roots.
Coffee, tea, and dessert provided.
Fee: $3/ Free J member
