Who Wants a Corned Beef Sandwich with a Side of Ratner?
Tuesday, July 8, depart Beth El 11am; return 3pm

Are you ready for a good, authentic corned beef or pastrami sandwich? If so, then join us for a trip to the newly-opened Attman’s Deli. After getting its start on Baltimore’s Corned Beef Row in 1915, it made a historic move and opened a second location in Potomac in July 2013. The menu at this location offers the same legendary corned beef, pastrami and other deli specialties — and who can resist those half-sour and full-sour pickles!

After lunch, we will take a quick ride over to the Ratner Museum,  one of only three museums in the world devoted to portraying biblical characters. Unfortunately, due to water damage that occurred earlier in the year, the main museum building is closed until the fall. However, the smaller Carriage House is open, so we will make a short stop to see Mr. Ratner’s amazing bas relief pictures, an Ellis Island exhibit, and the Personal Visions Gallery. To find out more about these exhibits, visit www.ratnermuseum.org. We might even be able to have a personal tour led by Mr. Philip Ratner himself!

Fee:     $10/ $8 JCCNV or synagogue member. Lunch is on your own.
