In addition to quality before- and after-school care, an afternoon of BASE includes:
  • free swim twice a week in the JCCNV’s indoor heated-pool
  • quiet homework room with staff assistance
  • daily organized art, cooking, and science projects
  • fun in our game room, which includes two foosball tables sports activities
  • special Off-BASE program for 7th and 8th graders.

Interested in lessons or classes for your child after school? At BASE we take care of getting students to and from each activity. Options include:

  • piano, violin, viola, guitar and voice instruction
  • dance and sports classes
  • private and group swimming lessons
  • enrichment classes
  • tutoring

The BASE program also offers care and special programming on school vacation days, snow days and days when school is delayed or dismisses early.

Inclusion BASE Program
Special needs children are welcome on Tuesdays and Thursdays during BASE hours. Please contact Dana Chilbert, JCCNV Special Needs Coordinator, for interviews and more information (703) 537-3031 or DanaC@jccnv.org.

After Kindergarten Program
Enjoy a special program designed to compliment your child’s kindergarten experience. We will enjoy lunches together, art projects, swimming, gym time and weekly Shabbat programs. Throughout the day, we will work on social skills and focus on how to be a good friend.
Mondays, 11am—3:30pm
Tuesday through Friday, Noon—3:30pm

Transportation Available
The BASE program has transportation available from Frost Middle School, Gesher Jewish Day School, Mantua, Wakefield Forest**, Canterbury Woods* **, and Little Run* elementary schools, and other private schools.

Don’t see your child’s school listed? We’re exploring the possibility of offering transportation from the following schools: Olde Creek • Camelot • Kings Glen • Kings Park • Ravensworth • Daniels Run • Laurel Ridge • Cardinal Forest • Marshall Road • Oak View • Mosby Woods • Bonnie Brae • Fairhill • Lynbrook.

If your child attends one of these schools and BASE sounds like the right fit for your family, contact Debra Beland at (703) 537-3091 or DebraB@jccnv.org. In order to provide transportation, we’ll need at least 10 students from a school to enroll in the BASE Program. So spread the word!

*Afternoon bus only
