Visiting Artists
Up Close & Personal
Partnership 2000 brings us talented artists from the Beit Shemesh/Mateh Yehuda region of Israel for a week of workshops
Kim Muchan - Sculptor
“Between painting and sculpture, between color and emotion” artist Kim Muchan explains herself through her art.
Kim is a Norwegian born visual artist who has been living in Tzuba, Israel since 1990. She enjoys working with a variety of materials which allow her to express her creativity. Color influences her tremendously and has impacted her life in many ways, as is reflected through her work.
Orly Aharoni Nave – Jewelry Designer
“Blending an old world feel with clean contemporary lines, results in unique and beautiful jewelry to adorn us all”.
Orly was born in Israel from Moshav Sarigim and creates hand made items combining semi-precious colored stones with silver and gold settings that showcase her unique personal style.
Shira Sack – Painter, Visual Artist
“Artist, teacher, creative thinker”
Shira arrived in Moshav Beit-Meir from Toronto, Canada 10 years ago to share her many artistic, teaching and administrative talents with her new community in Israel. We are delighted that Shira is here to share her talents with our community.
Amit Zehavi – Recycling Artist
“Recycle, Repurpose, Reuse”
Born in New York to Israeli parents, Amit made Aliya to Israel with her family when she was a child. She is very proud to now be on staff at Partnership 2000 located in the Beit Shemesh/Mateh Yehuda region, our partnership city in Israel. Amit formulates her projects on what we all leave behind. She makes creative use of human and industrial waste, teaching us how to beautify rather than put aside.
Assi Shimony – Actor
“A clever use of masks, create a unique experience for everyone”.
Working primarily in the area of improv, Assi makes use of masks and role-playing to convey the broad Israel experience. Often making use of audience participation he brings everyone with him on his journey.
