Ballet

Ballet is a profound training technique and beautiful form of dance, with an illustrious multi-cultural history. The rigors and discipline of ballet contribute to seemingly effortless movement, strength, flexibility, physiological awareness and statistically higher academic performance. The JCCNV Dance Academy approaches ballet instruction with a contemporary style. Girls should wear the appropriate colored leotard for their level (please reference the parent manual), pink footed or convertible tights, pink ballet shoes or properly fitted pointe shoes for pointe classes, and hair in a neat bun. Please, no ballet skirts or shorts. Boys may wear a solid colored t-shirt or a leotard and white ballet shoes.
