CarFit (1:00AM - 4:00AM)

Bethlehem Lutheran Church parking lot (located next door to the Firehouse and JCCNV)
CarFit was developed by the American Society on Aging in collaboration with AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association. CarFit is a free, interactive and educational program designed to improve older driver safety. Trained volunteers use a 12-point checklist that provides information to ensure the safest "fit" for drivers 65+ and their vehicles. Steering wheel height, seats, mirrors, head restraints and many other elements of the vehicle are checked for proper adjustment to help improve safety and comfort. The JCCNV is offering this program in cooperation with the Fairfax County Area Agency on Aging. Watch for details about signing up in the September/October issue of The Voice.

Take a scenic ride into Loudoun County’s wine country to visit the Sunset Hills Vineyard with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge and Short Hill Mountain ranges. Tour the Amish restored 130 year old barn with two story decks, spring house and corn crib with a view of the valley. Sample each of the 9 wines and learn about the grapes, the process, food pairings and a description of each wine.
