Love and Religion

Being part of an interfaith couple can be challenging, but you don’t need to find the answers alone. You can make Jewish choices while honoring the traditions of both partners. InterfaithFamily/DC offers a workshop to help you navigate the religious decisions that you make as a couple.  Love and Religion: An Interfaith Workshop for Jews and Their Partners, created by Marion L. Usher, Ph.D. facilitated by InterfaithFamily/DC Director, Rabbi Sarah Tasman. You can learn more and watch a short video about the workshop at http://www.interfaithfamily.com/loveandreligion

If you are interested in finding out more information about Love and Religion Workshops please contact:

Helpful Resources:

InterfaithFamily has many other valuable resources that you can use while planning your wedding or other life cycle event.  If you are looking for an officiant, you can request a Jewish clergy at www.interfaithfamily.com

  • Our Wedding Resource Page and our Baby Naming Resource Page provide guides to ceremonies, tips on including family members in your special day and links other helpful sites.
  • Our Wedding Articles Index is a compilation of articles by contributors to our website offering a variety of perspectives on interfaith weddings.
  • In order to help you prepare to talk with potential officiants, we offer these seven questions as a way to ensure that your first meeting is a part of a positive interfaith wedding experience. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions.
  • We even have resources for parents  whose children are in interfaith relationships as well as grandparents
